**** Waste restrictions and weight limits vary by city, county & dumpster use. Always review the waste restrictions of the specific dumpster you plan to order to confirm that it can be used for your intended use.
This is all the traditional waste that is thrown in your regular trash container. Everyday items that make it into the garbage can be included in a rental dumpster with the exception of food remnants. Recyclables should also be separated from the rest of the trash, but a dumpster service like HAUL-N BINS can handle the separation for you.
A landscaping project or clearing a piece of property can generate a large amount of yard waste. Examples include:
Items that are commonly used in the construction of buildings and renovation projects are considered construction materials. Often these bulky, heavy items cannot go in a regular trash container. Examples include:
Construction waste is also known as industrial waste or demolition waste. This kind of waste can make a job site dangerous if it isn’t contained.
Residential and commercial projects can sometimes require the removal of large household goods. These include:
When household items have reached the end of their lifecycle it’s time to recycle or dispose of them. Our dumpster rental service can make the process quicker and easier.
Household Hazardous Waste
There is a special class of debris known as hazardous waste that can do harm to the environment and people if not disposed of properly. Anything considered to be hazardous waste should never be thrown in a waste container rental. There are many federal, state and local laws that carefully control how hazardous waste is handled. The EPA has classified four types of hazardous waste:
Characteristic Wastes – This is debris that exhibits the nature of listed waste materials such as toxicity and corrosivity.
Listed Wastes – Manufacturing and industrial by-products that are found to be hazardous are listed wastes. They are divided into four groups: F-list, K-list, P-list and U-list.
Mixed Wastes – Materials that are radioactive and hazardous fall into the mixed waste category.
Universal Wastes – Consumer products that can become hazardous if they aren’t disposed of in a specific manner such as batteries.
The following debris are examples of hazardous waste:
If you have hazardous materials check with your local solid waste department to determine how they should be removed from your property. Typically there are facilities that are designed to handle these dangerous materials so that people, animals and properties are protected.
Another subset of hazardous waste is eWaste. Electronics that contain batteries and metals can cause environmental damage. Most communities have specific guidelines for properly removing eWaste, which is why electronics should not be put in construction dumpsters.
